This site is dedicated to the memory of Guri Marianne Thune Haycock.

Marianne Haycock who died at the age of 77 on 25th July 2011 was a devoted wife to Jack, our late father, a loving mother to Penny, Tim and Jeremy, affectionate mormor to Catherine and Olivia, and farmor to Neesha, Chantal, Kaspar and Emilia. Mum loved the RNLI and not only supported but was also an active member of the RNLI in Carmarthen. Although baking and making jam were perhaps not her strongest points she still enjoyed helping with the catering for the regular luncheons at the Towy Boat Club and also 'rattling' the tins outside Tesco. She was very proud of her committee badge! Mum was Danish, as many will know, and as a child and a young adult always lived by the sea and perhaps from this developed her interest in the RNLI. However, I also know that she had huge respect for the work done by not only the crews of the lifeboats but also for all the members of the charity and for the work that they did. Mum's life was quite suddenly ended leaving a substantial void in our lives but hope that through this fund we can not only remember her with fond, fond memories but also continue supporting her cherished charity.
